The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly sought out by employers seeking Project Managers. According to http://www.pmcertificationrequirements.com/2011.html , candidates must pass a 200 question, 2 hour exam. This is in accordance to having a “A four-year degree (bachelor’s or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education or a secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education”. Having this credential is worthwhile since it will reflect a more sense of professionalism and authority above other potential job candidates as well as being paid up to 10% more in salary.
